Hello everyone, and welcome back to my blog. As I told you last week, I’m going to continue my articles about TV shows that are released on october, this year.
So, do you want to see more about survivors killing zombies and cute little kids fighting evil? Stay tunned !
The Walking Dead (October 22, Season 8)
I dont want to be a spoiler b****, so if you’re reading this article you MUST have watched all the 7 seasons of this amazing TV show.
Now with this been clarified, I can begin writting.
We left Alexandria, the Kingdom and Hiltrop realy weak after the confrontation with Neegan and the Scavengers (traitors!), but with more hope and determination than what we have seen before. After one of season, of being Neegan’s b**** (sorry, but there’s no other word), Ricks has had enough and so all the others victims of his incredible cruelty. Sasha, killing herself to get her revenge from Neegan (you know all the hitting with the baseball bat on Abraham’s head, thing) became a trigger, pushing them to finally break their chains and rebel. Of course, they started planning it before, but is not until she decided to do something that everything switched.
Now, we have a rebellion on our hands, Rick becoming once again the badass boss and also a tiger (which is pretty cool). Even if I want to beleive that Neegan will die easily and stupidly as he deserves, I think our group of survivors will get a hard time killing him, leaving a lot of dead bodies on their way (friends and ennemies). But I’m quite excited to see Maggie totally transform into this incredible leader that her husband’s death forced her to become. We started to see it during the last season, but it is possible that this one will really show us her rebirth as the new Maggie. Also, I hope that Carl will stop with this “I want to be a violent badass as my daddy”. No Carl, you’re like 16, with only an eye so can stop trying to be the hero, and putting everyone in a really bad situation!
One of the sneak season showed us Rick, on a hospital bed, with a beard, like 10 years older. I know there’s a lot of assumptions about it, mostly telling that Ricks was in a dream. Can we all just stop and realize how bad of an ending that could be? Well, in short, this season may be as violent but more hectic than the previous one.
“The world is ours, by right. We’ve come together for it“.
Stranger Things (October 27, Season 2)
Come on, who didn’t think that this four kids where the most coolest people on the world. Between the superpowers, the 80’s fashion and their incredible frienship, they seemed unstoppable. And, until the last scene, I seriously thought everything was going to be alright for the kiddos. But fortunately for us, this will not be the case. Remember? (Spoilers ahead), Will Byers our disappeared child, finally returns from the horrible place called the Upside Down, all thanks to his friends, family and Eleven who had sacrificed herself to save everyone. Apart from the sadness felt by her loss, everything seems to be fine for our new favorite characters on Netflix. But as we say, too good to be true: the last scene shows Will going to the bathroom, to spit some disgusting thing in the sink and then seeing a horrible and huge monster hiding behing dark clouds in the distance. There’s no better end to make you want to see more.
And we absolutely want to see more of Lucas, Mike, Dustin and El fighting together some strange(r) things (see what I did there?). This upcoming season will be full of everything that is opposed to normality. As the director Shawn Levy said: “this determined desire to return to normalcy in Hawkins, in the Byers family, in that group of friends, and it’s the struggle to reclaim normalcy and maybe the impossibility of it.” (Collider. November 8, 2016). It seems that we’re going to see a lot of monsters, maybe more superpowers and another game of Dungeons and Dragons. I also hope there will be more of Eleven’s background story and the program that led her to become this tormented and fierce girl. David Harbour apparently said that there will be more explanation about his character’s daughter’s death and maybe this could be connected to everything else in Eleven’s story. Anyway, I would like to see more of Joyce’s and Hopper’s relationship on screen and their amazing performances as parents torn by pain.
In all cases, we’re going to see again all the characters that made this TV show incredible. Oh, wait, maybe not. Eleven’s reappearance was not totally confirmed by the producers and directors, but seriously is this alternative really possible? Hopefully, not.
“When terrifying supernatural forces once again begin to affect Hawkins, they realize Will’s disappearance was only the beginning. And so the adventure continues...”
