Hello my Movievaures! How to start better the week than with a classic. Yes my friends, Fast & Furious 9 was recently released and I couldn’t miss the chance to write about this latests movie in the saga. You might think I’m crazy to say a “classic” but we most acknowledge that these movies have left their mark on the cinema of these last twenty years. From F1 released in 2001 to F9 of this year, the storylines have been become more and more crazy, as per the action scenes: a complete madness.

F9 plot is not really different from what we are used to since the 5th movie. This time, Dom and Letty are the ones living a quiet life off the grid, until the team (or family as they often say) is forced to get back together again after a mysterious attack on Mr Nobody. This will awake ghosts from the past and will force Dom to face his forsaken brother, while foiling world-shattering plot as well as the laws of physics. So much that even Roman will start believing they are invincible.

What can I say here my Movievaures… I love seeing these movies, especially on a huge screen. Of course, I can’t say this sage impresses me by its high quality dialogues, profound plot, subtle messages and realism. But you don’t go see Fast & Furious to have any of these. You go for the mind blowing action scenes, cheesy dialogues, cliché characters and simple storyline. The goal: escape reality and have a good time. There is nothing more infuriating than people saying that these saga is not good.

It is, as it created a whole franchise, 20 years of movies and millions of memes on the Internet. Of course this entire new movie is a complete madness, exaggerating every level of explosion, stunts, combats imaginable. But that is what I loved it, because it has served its purpose: entertain me. I even had the chills from time to time, when some old characters were made a reappearance or even when some of them did the cliché monologues about family and sacrifice.

In short, F9 is just another movie from this saga that fulfills all the expectations. It is once again an absurd action movie, with bad dialogue and destroyed cars all over the place. But this is why you go and see these movies and this is why I enjoyed every minute of it. All the “Family is everything” rantings are of cours really goofy but I’m sorry for saying it but they work. We all feel like Roman in this movie: completely stunned by all that’s happening in front of our eyes, and it is a delight.

This is all for today My Movievaures! I hope you enjoyed this article. As the movie was released in June I imagine most of you have seen it already so let me know in the comments down below your thoughts on it. I’ll be back in France by the time the Sunday article will be released so stay tuned! And don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for more news!
