Hello, My Movievaures! I hope you had a good week. I’m back with a new review of Black Mirror’s latest season. I’ve always loved this dystopian show and was thrilled to start watching season 6, with many hopes it will be as great as its predecessors. Was it the case? Well, let’s get into it.

No need for a non-spoiler section because if you started reading this article you already know about Black Mirror. Of course, if you haven’t you should immediately check season 1 and enroll into these deranged but truthful stories. By the way, you can check my previous review here.

Well… I have mixed feelings about Season 6. There were no bad episodes, but some didn’t feel like Black Mirror content. Some of them were in this same dystopian modern vibe and were incredible: Joan is Awful or Beyond the Sea. But some just felt like horror/thriller short movies. Of course, I’m talking about Loch Henry or Mazey Day.

Maybe I was a bit too focused on what was done in the past and having something different is not something terrible. However, it felt out of place, even though I enjoyed some aspects. For instance, being a fan of murder mysteries, Loch Henry was a pure pleasure.

In short, Black Mirror season 6 is still a disturbing depiction of society’s darkest aspects, but less of a criticism of how modernity could put us in danger shortly. The acting is still incredible and the staging is astonishing. This is all for today My Movievaures! I hope you enjoyed this article. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts about this latest season. I’ll see you next week for a new review on The Movievaures.
