As a typical fantasy adventure, it serves its purpose of providing a night’s entertainment without requiring much thought. Despite my admiration for Millie Bobbie Brown, the film lacks strong CGI and compelling acting. However, I believe that not every movie needs to be extraordinary, and Damsel serves its purpose of passing the time

Originally scheduled to stream on Netflix in October 2023, Damsel faced delays due to the impact of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. It eventually premiered on March 8, 2024. Critical reception for Damsel has been mixed. While Millie Bobby Brown’s performance is praised, some critics note the film’s underpowered story and occasionally unconvincing effects. Despite its flaws, Damsel offers an entertaining escape into the world of fantasy.

In short, if you’re in the mood for a light-hearted adventure, Damsel could be a good option in the next couple of days.
