Hi my Movievaures! I’m happy to meet with you again for the second part of my Advent Calendar Movie Version.
I hope you had a good week, enjoying the different movies that I adviced you to see in Part 1, while waiting for Christmas.
So here is the second list of movies, so that you survive during this last week, waiting for Santa Claus.
-
The Santa Clause
Who has not dreamed of becoming Santa? Well, not me really, but it must be very nice to be able to go around the world in one night and make a lot of happy children during these cold winter nights. In Santa Clause, this is what happens to Scott Calvin, who after fighting with the real Santa Claus, he is forced to take the 8 reindeer he discovers on the roof and finish the work that has been started.
I loved this movie when I saw it for the first time. Not only because it takes all the images of Christmas that we know well, but also because I thought it was an original story in the context of Christmas and New Year. In addition, if you like it you can enjoy it even more in the other 2 films that were released later.
-
The Holiday
Once again, a romantic comedy, but still a Christmas classic. The Holiday is the story of two women exchanging city to discover, to breathe, to stop thinking about the men they met.
Going away is always something that attracted people to discover and dream, sometimes to escape. In this film, it will allow 4 people to find love, during a Christmas holidays quite magical, but however realistic.
-
Jack Frost
A life after the death? Perhaps. In the skin of a snowman? I would never have believed it. But in Jack Frost that’s what happens to Jack, the lead singer of a rock band who finds himself faced with a decisive choice: his career or his family?
Guilt will bring him to the unknown and he will reincarnate into the famous Jack Frost, the snowman who will accompany his son in a difficult time of his life. What’s better for Christmas, than a story of family, love and snow?
-
The Harry Potter series
I can not spend a single Christmas without the company of Harry and his friends. There is nothing better than waiting for Santa Claus while watching the adventures of best friends in the magical world of wizards. Muggles need to get some inspiration from their Christmas parties!
I certainly have a preference for Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone, because it feels like you’re discovering this merry world of Hogwarts, with these incredible meals and these fantastic decorations, next to Harry.
-
A Bad Moms Christmas
Did you like the first Bad Moms? So you’ll love this second film, completely focused on Christmas and the dictates imposed on families to create always these wonderful dinners and sompetous decorations.
We meet again with our 3 favorite moms, facing the adversity of the holiday season: gifts, meals and especially Family … Between laughter, tears and a lot of nonsense, you will spend a good moment and you will recognize yourself in several scenes (with maybe a little shame).
-
Murder on the Orient Express (2017)
If you live in Europe, you have certainly spent some of your Sundays watching TV movies, based on the stories of Agatha Christie. And you have surely heard or even seen a TV movie about Murder on the Orient Express. If this is the case (or not elsewhere), you will love this new adaptation of the author’s mythical novel.
With an incredible cast, and scenes of strong tension, you will find yourself on the edge of the Orient Express, threatened by a killer. Under a thin layer of snow, the train will immerse itself in a mystery that only Hercule Poirot can solve.
-
Star Wars: the last Jedi
It’s certainly not a Christmas movie, but for my great pleasure it comes out at my favorite time of the year. Do I really need to explain to you why do you have to go and see it? I don’t think so.
The Last Jedi, is the second film of the 3rd Star Wars trilogy produced by Dinsey. For those who have loved to dive into lightsabers, Jedis, Siths and X-Wings, you’ll be thrilled with this latest movie. I will soon write an article specifically about it, but really, do not wait any longer!
This is the end of the second and last part of my advent calendar. I hope you enjoyed it. In the meantime, I will go watch the 7 films on my list, to wait in good company for the arrival of gifts, meals, family and especially Santa.
Have a good week, My Movievaures, filled with movies, mulled wine and hot chestnuts. We will meet again before Christmas !
